We encourage families to bring children of all ages to our annual Family Concert. This concert is a wonderful introduction to the varied musical styles of the orchestra. Carnival of the Animals, led by talented young artists Jacob Kline and Niklas Kniesche on piano, introduces families to musical depictions of many animals, from lions and elephants to kangaroos and swans.

Then savor the excitement of Dvořák’s Carnival Overture, the spine-tingling delight of Grieg’s In the Hall of the Mountain King, and our annual audience sing-along.

After the concert, children are invited to our instrument petting zoo, courtesy of Rayburn Music, where they can try out string, woodwind, and brass instruments for the first time!

We’re grateful to New England Conservatory Preparatory School for their in-kind support for this program.
