Featuring soprano Jennifer Sgroe
The Nutcracker Suite
Twas the Night Before Christmas
The CSO welcomes you and your family for a joyful celebration of the season! Music Director Cynthia Woods leads the orchestra in seasonal favorites from “Sleigh Ride” to “Silver Bells,” an audience sing-along, and even a special appearance from St. Nicholas himself to narrate a familiar holiday story.
We are joined by guest artist Jennifer Sgroe, performing standards including “All the Things You Are” and “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.”
For the first time at Holiday Pops, the CSO is joined by student musicians from the Perkins School for the Blind (led by Music Director Arnie Harris) who will perform side-by-side with Cambridge Symphony players. This unique collaboration with Perkins is supported by the James W. Rollins Charitable Trust and the Boston Bruins Foundation.
The CSO is proud to have Helping Hand Food Pantry at St. James Episcopal Church as our Spotlight Partner for this concert. Please bring a canned good donation to help those in need during the holidays.
