Emily and Andy Pollock met in 2004 as undergraduates at Harvard, where they were both members of the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra. They returned together to Massachusetts in 2010 after getting married and obtaining advanced degrees from Cornell and University of California at Berkeley, respectively. Playing in orchestras has always been one of their favorite activities, since it allows them to make beautiful music with their friends, although it also means that they spend a considerable number of hours sitting two rows apart, unable to talk to each other. When not playing in the CSO, Emily teaches music history as a faculty member at MIT and Andy is a Software Manager at Kiva Systems, an Amazon subsidiary robotics company. They live in Belmont with their New England cottontail rabbit, Ariadne.
