Diana Jacklin
A true high dramatic soprano, DIANA JACKLIN is one of very few in the world with this extremely rare voice type. She is admired for her vocal artistry which allows her to create musical intimacy and intensity with ease on both the opera and recital stage. She has performed in many distinguished concert halls including Bela Bartok Hall, Stephansdom Vienna, Kennedy Center, Tanglewood, Symphony Hall, Sanders Theater, Shalin Liu Performance Center, among others. With 20 opera roles, including one world-premiere, to her credit, she has, furthermore, sung over 150 song recitals internationally. From 2007-2017, Ms. Jacklin, with violinist Hartmut Ometzberger, formed a unique duo entitled THE DIVA AND THE FIDDLER. Described as an “eclectic duo” by Time Out NYC, The Diva and the Fiddler performed in festivals and concerts in Austria, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Slovakia, Antwerp, Boston, St. Louis and NYC, including The Austrian Cultural Forum NYC, Shalin Liu Performance Center, Kirche St. Anna in Vienna, Engelse Kerk in Amsterdam and The Crowell Chapel. As the only voice and violin duo in the world, they inspired composers to write for their rare combination. Also a dedicated pedagogue, Ms. Jacklin teaches internationally, leading many of her students into a life in music. She is regularly invited to teach masterclasses in the United States and Europe.
