Dan friedman

Dan has been a member of the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra since 2018, and joined the Board of Directors in 2021.

He learned to play the violin at the age of 6, and has been passionate about music ever since, playing in several community orchestras and a couple of rock bands. Recently, he completed an adult education program at the New England Conservatory of Music, where he studied classical and jazz violin performance.

Dan currently works as a mathematics instructional coach for the Revere public school system. Prior to that, he worked as an executive at Capital One Financial Corporation, specializing in marketing and risk management. Dan earned an undergraduate degree in mathematics from the University of Michigan, and received master’s degrees in economics and education from Boston University and UMass Boston. In addition to music, Dan enjoys reading, biking, and playing recreational ice hockey.
